On May 29th, iDr.Skin Cosmeceuticals organized a Dermatology Workshop titled "MSM Active Ingredient - New Direction in Acne Treatment" at Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel. The workshop aimed to provide dermatologists and owners of cosmetic facilities with valuable insights into the MSM active ingredient. The interest from dermatologists, aesthetic practitioners, and spa/clinic owners has remained high whenever the topic of acne treatment is discussed.
MSM Active Ingredient - New Direction in Acne Treatment
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally occurring organic compound found in plants, animals, and humans. MSM is recognized as an anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting agent, safe and gentle for various pain and inflammatory conditions.
In the presentation on the MSM active ingredient, iDr.Skin's R&D Department Head, Dr. Dao Hai Tram Oanh, stated that MSM is less frequently discussed compared to some specific acne treatment agents. However, with its outstanding anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, the MSM active ingredient represents a new direction in effective acne treatment for cosmetic facilities.
Additionally, attendees engaged in lively discussions with doctors about the MSM active ingredient and its current applications, particularly in the Bio Treatment Ampoule, a stem cell acne treatment product.
